Is This the Final Nail in the Recession's Coffin?

Industrial production in the United States decreased by 0.6% compared to the previous month, according to the report published by the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors on Thursday. Compared to the same period last year, industrial production has declined by 0.7%. The three-month annualized rate is now in negative territory as well.

With the exception of the period between 2015 and 2016, a below-zero year-over-year rate has historically been associated with a sharp slowdown in growth.
